Catalyst Students & the Community
Collaboration with the community is one of the cornerstones of the Catalyst approach to education. Students engage in community activities throughout the Denver metro area and along the front range. These community experiences enhance their overall educational integrity and personal well-bring. Unique to Catalyst are our partnerships with real world organizations.

COLLABORATIVE PROJECT TO SEND BICYCLES TO SOUTH AFRICA
Bicycles for Humanity is a non-profit humanitarian organization that collects unwanted bicycles from the developed world for use in African communities. In addition, they open small, locally-owned and operated bicycle shops around Africa, creating sustainable businesses that support local people.
Catalyst High School is partnering with Bicycles for Humanity to gather, repair and ship 400 bicycles to South Africa. We are also raising funds to send several students to Africa to help deliver the bikes and set up a new bike shop.
Bicycles for Humanity, is located at www.bicycles-for-humanity.org .

Catalyst High School has adopted a two-mile section of highway along
US 36 between Louisville and Boulder, Colorado. Our section runs on both sides of the highway between Mile Markers 42 and 44. The section starts just east of the westbound off ramp for Louisville and goes west to almost the top of Davidson Mesa.
The Catalyst community goes out several times a year to clean up our section of the highway. See the map here: View Map
